Ignition Vision Permissions

I am trying to work on a project which only allows certain roles in the client to edit tags. I am using the latest ignition version 8.1.27.
I added the roles in the project properties > vision permissions > enable Tag Editing > Administrator role. I hit save and launched the client.
When I test it in the vision client with a user that doesn't have the role above it still allows me to edit the tag without issues. Am I doing something incorrectly?

Tag editing is about configuration, not the general ability to write values to tags. Look at security settings for the tags themselves for that part.
