Ignition with Sony ILX‑LR1

Silly question,

Do you guys think we can integrate this Sony ILX‑LR1 with Ignition, tell it when to take snapshot, etc..

Maybe tell us what mechanism you think might connect to Ignition that exists on this device?
Provide us with documents that show us the interface that would be capable of controlling the device?
We aren't here to do your entire job, you already asked about this same project on another thread.

Well it has WiFi so that might work.

Probably better getting an industrial camera not a “professional” camera. One that has Ethernet on board and supports protocols for remote triggering.

Thanks for the inputs. I should’ve continued with the old thread. Anyway, I’m thinking Ignition calls a REST endpoint on the PC. PC captures via Sony Camera Remote SDK, saves image, returns filename.

I’ve done a bit of research on industrial area scan camera out there. Seems like only OMRON STC2041 is the only one has 20MP, the other brand such as SICK has maximum of 12MP. Quite low for marketing purposes. Hence, I’m looking at this Sony to generate better quality images.

Keyence do 64MP.

Hmm. I actually forgot about Keyence. Maybe this is better option than the sony one for industrial. Thanks Matrix
