Image Management Crashing Designer

Went to put a .SVG file into the image management tool and realized it was to big and canceled the upload but now whenever I go to put any image into the designer it freezes and then eventually crashes. I had canceled the upload so there should be no issue? Correct? or did it somehow get uploaded and is now crashing my designer.

Any feedback is appreciated. I am not the main head of this project and don't want to have messed it up for anyone else.

Without more information it's hard to say, but it's possible the large image did in fact end up in image management.

The simplest solution would to contact our support department - they can remote in to your system and manually remove the problematic image by removing it from the internal database. This is possible to do as an end user, but it's somewhat tricky and has some risks, so I wouldn't recommend trying it yourself.

A quick fix you could try is to bump the max memory the designer is given:

That may suffice to give the designer headroom to open image management and let you delete the problematic image (if it exists).

I was able to find a solution to this issue by heading into the gateway and increasing the memory allocation of the designer from 2GB to 4GB. Note that this may not be possible on all computers and could cause you to be unable to access the designer entirely (my PC has 32GB of RAM). Once I increased the memory I was able to open the image management tool and delete the problematic image. Afterwords I set it back to 2GB and tested opening the image tool and had no issues.
