Can a project created on a Windows gateway be imported to Linux and macOS gateways?
Who about gateway backups?
I’m hoping yes, it’s Java and the host gateways JVM/JRM should take care of it.

Projects, yes. Gateway backups, almost. You have to fix the filesystem paths in ignition.conf to point to the correct locations. (True in either direction.) Also, if you have gateway scripts that interact with the filesystem, you may have to fix those, too.
