"Initialization error detected: Service name missing from existing configuration file"

Hello, I am setting up Ignition on a new work computer and I initially installed Designer Launcher first and then tried to install Ignition and it was giving me errors throughout the installation process.

I was told I might have installed them incorrectly since the gateway has a link to install the designer launcher that will automatically match the versions so that they are compatible.

Learning this, I uninstalled both and thought that I could install Ignition first and run the gateway then form there install designer launcher however now when I run the ignition-8.1.44-windows-64-installer.exe I get this error right at launch:

Any thoughts? Im not sure if there are lingering files left on the computer that didn't get full uninstalled or not but im not sure where to continue from here...

Look in Program Files/Inductive Automation/, there might be a lingering uninstall directory that the installer is trying to recover from. If you don't have anything there you care about, you can just nuke the entire Inductive Automation folder and re-run the installer.
