Hey guys I am totally new in Ignition and I want to know something simple (of course for you not to me) about how can I Install the 3 versions of ignition (Maker - Standard - Edge) using or running in the same PC (Windows 11).
I am learning things in Inductive Academy and they use all of them but in the first time i just configured the ignition witn the standard edition.
I will appreciate in advance anny comment and help that you guys will give to me!
Standard has the all the capabilities. Maker is limited to home use and Perspecitve only (and probably some other limitations I'm unaware of). Edge is restricted to using either Vision or Perspective, but not both at the same time, and cannot connect to databases, so you're limited with historian to using the built-in historian. If you want to learn, use Standard.
You can use Docker Desktop to run all 3 in containers if you really want to, or set up separate VMs if you have the resources and want them completely isolated.

Hey thanks!
It is possible to change the ports for avoid issues? For example install Maker-Standard-Edition with the follow ports:
9087
9088
9089
And if this is possible how can I edit the ports after having installed the Standard edition using the port by default (8088)?
There are many other ports that need to be changed, as well as service names (I think? Not sure if these differ between editions).
Really, take the advice given.
Ideally, just use Standard edition to learn.
If you must, use Docker or VMs to isolate the installs.
