Are you installing to a network share/drive? Are you sure you have write permissions? In addition to “sharing” permissions you might also need to set “security” permissions (next tab over).
I`m installing on hard drive local. The user login is the administrator and I have checked the security permission and the administrator has the full control permission.
Let me tell you that I have downloaded and installed only the Kepware Software, and send me the next error inmediatly:
From a quick search on Google, this would appear to be an InstallShield error. I’ve seen a number of things recommended:
Empty your Windows Temp folder and try again.
If this fails, try running the install from Control Panel | Add/Remove programs | Add New Program | CD or Floppy. Choose the install program as the file to run from there.
Lastly, try deleting the InstallShield runtime folder, usually C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime. This should force a reinstall of InstallShield in case it has become corrupted.
This link has a bit more detail, albeit for another software package.
