Install KepServer

I have downloaded the new version of Inductive Automation Software (FPMI 3.2.5 & FSQL 4.2.7).

I want to install in Windows Server 2003 SP2, but in the installation process send me the next popup error:

“Error opening file for writing: /Proyects/IADemo.opf”

If I ignore the error, it didn’t install the KepServerEx Program.

I have shared all the hard disk in Full Control.

Do you have any idea?

Are you installing to a network share/drive? Are you sure you have write permissions? In addition to “sharing” permissions you might also need to set “security” permissions (next tab over).

I`m installing on hard drive local. The user login is the administrator and I have checked the security permission and the administrator has the full control permission.

Let me tell you that I have downloaded and installed only the Kepware Software, and send me the next error inmediatly:

Hi alexr,

From a quick search on Google, this would appear to be an InstallShield error. I’ve seen a number of things recommended:

  1. Empty your Windows Temp folder and try again.

  2. If this fails, try running the install from Control Panel | Add/Remove programs | Add New Program | CD or Floppy. Choose the install program as the file to run from there.

  3. Lastly, try deleting the InstallShield runtime folder, usually C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime. This should force a reinstall of InstallShield in case it has become corrupted.

This link has a bit more detail, albeit for another software package.

Hopefully this will help you get installed.

Al

Thanks,

The option 3 that you described is the correct!!!

I have installed the KepServer Softare Ok.
