I just downloaded the last version of Ignition and installed on a windows 7 pro it completed the installation successfully but al I see in the menu is an uninstall entry. What is happening?

Can you try going to the gateway to see if the service is running? Something like localhost:8088 in a web browser should do it.
Also the gateway control panel is no more. You’ll need to run the command line tools.
