While upgrading to the latest version of Ignition, I received the attached error message. Then I found that ignition was not able to run on my machine, even after a reboot. What did I do wrong?
Of course I have uninstalled and reinstalled Ignition but all my settings (and license) are now lost.
Is it possible you tried to run the 32-bit installer on top of a 64-bit installation (or vice-versa)?
No, I uninstalled the 64 bit and then installed the latest 64 bit.
I would first install Java either 32bit or 64bit depending on which Ignition installer you are using. Once that is installed then run the Ignition installer.
