Installing Ignition Maker Edition

hello all,

i have experience with vision and perspective. I have actually taken the week long course at the facility in April this year. The instructor was amazing. He talked about ignition maker for my home automation project. I have a gateway already installed. I cant seem to find the maker edition. when i downloaded client launcher and designer launcher I cant find maker edition anymore. Do i have to remove my vision designer so that i can install maker edition? I am going to use a PLC to control electric blinds, curtains and all sorts of thing in my house. I want to start laying out my views and see how it all works before i demo my house. I sure love the graphics of Ignition. i want to use it because it will easily communicate with an AB PLC.

After you first install Ignition and start it for the first time, you connect to the gateway to complete the commissioning process.

During this process it asks you to select what type of ignition to run as (Edge, Standard, or Maker). See point number 4 in the user documentation linked below.

You will likely have to uninstall and reinstall your ignition server to make the change. I'm not aware of any way to change the type of Ignition server after its been commissioned.
