Hello! I have a tender in my location where the municipal water&wastewater facility is asking for a SCADA platform and GIS integrated to it. As I am going to offer Ignition and I would like to know if any of you have experience linking any GIS application or API to Igniton.

Hi Jorge! I currently working in something similar. I want to integrate GIS (probably arcGIS) into both ignition vision and perspective. I've seen a few interesting modules in Ignition Exchange like ArcGIS with controls module
Let me know if you have found in the way any other possible integration with GIS.

In that opportunity we used QGIS and we did the integration by using SQL queries to Postgres (with postGis plugin which is used by QGIS). Then, in other projects I have used GeoJSON and the map component of perspective with some scripting. Take a look to my post in Linkedin:

Hey Jorge,
Very interesting option those you just mentioned. I launched a quick test using perspective tools and resources around map components to build a map with some layers.
Then I call the Perspective Session from a web browser component on vision. It works pretty well.
Now I'm currently working on expand this first version adding more layers and features to manipulate GIS data.
I will keep this thread updated if you are interested in the progress.
