We would like to hear your opinion on the following NUC idea:
We are looking at possibly using an Intel NUC as an Ignition server (with a Standard MSSQL DB). This would be a small, lightweight Ignition program, some data collection (a relatively small amount) which will be limited to 2 years’ worth, and no more than 5 clients. We like the small footprint, SS drive, [up to] 16GB RAM, but our main concern is the dual core, and that its not available in quad core. Has anybody else worked with these in this type of application, or have any input on this?
Thanks!
I know the Gigabyte BRIX is the same form factor, and comes with a quad core i7 I think.
