Internal Alarm Journal Db values lost

Hi, I am using Ignition 8.0.14 and it seems that the alarm history data (Internal Alarm Journal) was lost after changing the config of the journal provider (changed the source filter from the default value).

  • is it a normal behavior (alarm history lost after changing the config)?
  • is it possible to retrieve the alarm history data from a gateway backup (auto backup configured) but the alarmsJournal_Journal.idb seems to be blank (no data).

Sorry this is a known issue with the internal alarm journal. The only real way to get that data back would be to restore a gateway backup from before any edits were made to the internal alarm journal.
The internal sources can be nice for testing, but currently if you really need the data to persist then I would suggest doing a database journal.
