Internal DB config file corruption possible. Upgrade 2.1.4+

We’ve seen cases where FactoryPMI versions between 2.0 and 2.1.3 corrupt the internal database configuration file (fpmi_internal.properties). If this happened the FactoryPMI Service (and Gateway) will not start. You didn’t lose any of your data.

In any case, I would recommend upgrading to 2.1.4 or greater. We’ve upgraded the startup/shutdown of the internal database and provided some protective logic.

Please contact us if you experience problems starting up the service. A Gateway backup is always a good idea. Uninstalling/Reinstalling FactoryPMI is rarely a good idea to fix this problem. It will remove autobackups that occurred every update and likely prevent us from figuring out what the problem was.
