IP Camera through Gateway

Hello,

I’m testing the IP Camera Viewer on Ignition 7.9.7 and tried the following in the URL property of the component:

http://<gateway ip>:8088/main/system/urlproxy?url=<username>:<password>@<camera ip>/mjpg/video.mjpg?&resolution=640x480

However I get the following error:

When accessing the stream directly on the Gateway through Firefox it works fine.

<username>:<password>@<camera ip>/mjpg/video.mjpg?&resolution=640x480

Any reason why this error might be happening? I figure it’s the connection between the client and gateway causing the issue.

You can enable the URL proxy if you’d like, but it’s a security issue, so it’s not enabled to default.
