We’re an OEM for mobile equipment. The primary operating environments for our products are rock quarries and mines with no cell phone reception or internet access. We have operators driving around in Payloaders and Bulldozers, and I am looking into giving them access from the vehicle to PLC items.
I’ve read that I can get Ignition access via mobile phone/IPad through server connections (that is- throw a tower inside of the panel and connect through WiFi). What I’m wondering is, though, is if there is any way to use an IPad as the server. It would be a connection to a single client through a WiFi router in the panel.
Any advice?
