Is system.tag.editTag still valid in 8.0?

I’m building a perspective project in 8.0 and I’ve successfully untilized system.tag.editTag in my project and I see the function in the 7.9 docs

but not in the 8.0 docs

Is system.tag.editTag still valid or is it being deprecated?
