How does Aveva Edge store its data? If it's in a proprietary format, then the only way to do this would be to export the data out of it using functions the software might contain (I've never used it before). With the exported data, you could then import this into a table in your Ignition SQL database.
The historian in Ignition uses a standard SQL database to store its data into. Backup and restore procedures are based on the SQL database that you choose to use, as each will have their own methods.
Yes. You'll need to restore the historian SQL tables from your database onto the new server. Then simply update your database connection in Ignition and you should be good to go.
