Hi I'm a ux/ui designer with front-end experience in Angular. I'm interested in the SCADA/HMI field and wanted to ask if a designer/front-end developer who specializes in CSS is something the industry actually needs, or if these roles are aimed directly at engineers.
Cheers
I would think so. It's actually an area of programming where AI is no substitute for a human.
I would think so too.
Being able to make high quality user interfaces is a valuable skill. It's important to understand the engineering side as well because your UI could be controlling physical equipment but there is a benefit to solid UI design.
Be aware that Ignition is built with React, not Angular. You will have to make at least that adjustment.
