For REST and SOAP capabilities, I am trying to evaluate the real need in real-time applications for the Web Server module from Sepasoft and wonder if it delivers services and features that Ignition alone without it cannot offer?
In other words, when is it a must to use the module and when Ignition can be used alone and still deliver the same outcome? Pros vs Cons? Comparison matrix if any?

I've seen a few posts on this forum comparing the Sepasoft Web Services module with Ignition's WebDev module. In the end, I think you might have better results with providing details of your specific use case.

Note that if you are only looking to request data from an external API, it might be that neither module is necessary.
