Issue with Localization in Perspective Alarm Status Table: English Overrides Other Languages

Hello everyone,

I've encountered an issue with the Alarm Status Table in Ignition Perspective when using multiple languages for localization. In our project, we have both English and Spanish translations set up for alarms. However, we’re noticing an unexpected behavior:

  • When both English and Spanish translations are provided for an alarm, only the English version appears in the Alarm Status Table, regardless of the session language setting.
  • If we leave the English translation empty and only provide the Spanish translation, then the Spanish text appears correctly in the Alarm Status Table.

This issue is affecting the user experience, as it seems the Alarm Status Table defaults to English if any English text is available, ignoring the session's active language.

I'm on Ignition 8.1.43

Translation for two terms in Translation Manager. English translation in only the first one

English locale: both the label and alarm table translation match

Spanish locale: label translation is correct, alarm table translation is only correct for the term without an english translation

With the english translation removed from the Translation Manager

  • Has anyone else experienced this issue with localization in the Alarm Status Table?
  • Are there any known workarounds or fixes that can ensure the table respects the active session language when both translations are present?

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
