Java 7 for Mac

I have been trying for months now to get this right, but cannot get Ignition to run on my Mac. I have upgraded to Ver. 7 u 17 and it still does not work.

Help!

What doesn’t work? Gateway? Designer? Clients?

What do you mean by doesn’t work? What error(s) are you seeing?

  • I can get into the page showing all projects (including the note at bottom showing I have an acceptable version of Java)
  • When I try run a project or launch the designer, I get the Java 7 popup with … running continuously.
  • This is a newish Macbook Pro (Retina) with OS X 10.8.2

Alright, I’m not sure about the javascript on the gateway detecting the correct version of Java, but the Designer/Client launching is a known bug in Java Webstart. See this thread for info on how to get it started.

Thanks Kevin - back in business …
