Java crashes after a while

Hello,

We run java in a virtual PC but after a while the java application seems to crash for no reason. Crashes happen at random times after no specific actions. We’ve tried freshly reinstalling java and ignition but this does not seem to help.

We’re not sure if it’s java or ignition causing this problem. From the windows event viewer we get following message:

Faulting application name: jp2launcher.exe, version: 11.161.2.12, time stamp: 0x5a39c734

Does any1 have any idea what’s causing this problem?

It’s the client crashing (jp2launcher). Do you have the same issue on other clients? Perhaps you can set up a separate client to see if it also happens.

You could also try the native client launchers instead of the web launcher.

Hello Sanderd17,

This also happens in the designer. The test machine we run this on is the server itself so we don’t have any clients setup atm.

From the post:

So it's likely something is quite wrong with your system. Either the virtual installation, the VM, or with the physical machine.

Porting it to a clean installation should probably work.
