Hi,

Which is the best java version for Ignition 7.8.5?

I’m having some trouble with my actual version of Java.

You should be able to use Java 8 for gateway/client/designer without issues.

Thanks for your reply Kevin. I’m using Java 8.131 but now I’m having issues with the memory of the Ignition. the RAM used is getting to the max value we have allowed.

I’m thinking of updating to a newer version of Java, but idk if it’s better to update to the latest Java version.

You can upgrade to the latest version of Java 8, but don’t go beyond 8 or it won’t work at all.

If you’re having trouble with memory you might want to call into support and let them take a look at your system.
