Was looking to setup Kafka as a sink for Tag data coming out of Ignition. When looking at the video about Event Streams ( Event Streams Module | Real-Time Event Data Mapping for Ignition ), Sparkplug B was mentioned as a format that we could send from our tags to Kafka (3:45 of the video). I can't seem to see that option in the dropdown for the Encoder and was wondering how we might enable this.
In my mind Sparkplug B is a better format since it's based off of Proto, but not sure if there's extra steps that might be needed (maybe passing it through some MQTT broker?) that might make it less desirable.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
