Kepware project changing after restart

A quick note about a problem that occurs from time to time.

Symptom: After machine restart, or FactorySQL & Kepware restart, the project that Kepware is running is not correct, or has “reverted” to a previous file.

Fix: There are several places that dictate which project file is loaded into Kepware on start up. Make sure to set all of them to the correct file.

  1. Under Tools->Options, set the “Default Project”
  2. In the ServerMain.ini in the Kepware application directory, there are 2 different “Default Project” settings. Make sure they are both set to the correct project file.

Also, I know it sounds obvious, but don’t forget to save your kepware project after you’ve done any configuration changes. (adding/editing channels/devices)
