Kymera Systems is pleased to announce 8.3 beta SNMP module release, available here: Kymera Systems Inc - IIoT Solutions and automation systems

Known issues:

  • Automatic migration of device settings from 8.1 to 8.3 is not yet supported. If installing from an updated server, first uninstall the older module version, restart, and install this version. Changes to the internal configuration keys are ongoing, any devices created with this beta build may not be supported in future builds.

  • Uploading custom MIB files is currently unavailable. The SNMP module looks for custom MIB files under the data/drivers/snmpmibs/mibs/custom/ folder located in the Ignition install directory. It is still possible to put provide the module access to these custom MIBs in this manner.

  • The custom MIB selection page is currently unavailable. To create a device with a custom MIB, in the CustomMibPath field of device creation, place a comma separated list of relative paths of the files e.g. /ietf/IP-MIB,/ietf/RFC-1215,/custom/yourMibHere. Available MIBs can be found in the data/drivers/snmpmibs/mibs/ folder located in the Ignition install directory.

A future release is expected Sept 16/17 to address these issues.
