N/M... I read MySQL when you were talking MSSQL

The MSSQL JDBC driver module, new in 8.3, currently bundles the 13.2.1.jre11 driver from Microsoft.
Microsoft hedges their own bets on compatibility with their driver by leaning on "supported":

But you can always up or downgrade the JDBC driver Ignition is using for MSSQL connections if it becomes an issue in practice.
