Localhost - connect Kepserver to Ignition

But it is not connecting:

Maybe I forgot something to config on KepServerEX6

I removed the Perspective tag. This problem is not related to Perspective.

thank you, it was an error

Make sure you've exported the certificate out of Kepware and Ignition and imported them into each other as approved/accepted certificates. Also, you MUST create a user inside Kepware with a password and make sure it has appropriate permissions. It's been a while since I set up a system with Kepware, but I remember the hangup I had was creating a user in Kepware and once I did that I got it working.

I can export certificate of Kepware but I can't find where I can export and import certificate of Ignition on gateway

Under OPC-UA --> Security

Thank you.
but I only change OPC UA option to OPC-DA COM Connection and it work.

Personally, I wouldn't use OPC-DA. Less security, outdated, and most everything is moving away from OPC-DA. Probably less efficient also, but I don't know details about it. I avoid it whenever possible.

Thank you, I do what you recommended me. OPC UA work, but I can't find name of device that I have configured.

When I used OPC-DA, I find all devices

I don't recall if there are any permissions to allow it or not. What I do recall is that when using at least AB PLCs, I wasn't able to browse the tags because Kepware required that I uploaded the tag database from the PLC in order to do so, and we don't like doing that, so we couldn't browse down to tags like we could when using the Ignition OPC-UA server.

You probably don't need to set the group to Administrators like I did, but check what group the user you created is a member of and move them to either Administrators or Anonymous Clients.

Unfortunately, there are many plants still using DA. If the OPC server is installed in the same box as the gateway it is exposed to the same risk as the gateway protected by firewalls configuration to the upper layer of Purdue reference model network segmentation.
