Thank you for that information. I don’t see anything that stands out in the logs, but there were a couple issues related to AD User Sources that have been fixed since beta 2, so it’s possible you were running into one of those.
If you do run into the same issue after performing a restore onto RC1, then I’d like to get a gwbk from you to try to replicate. Just let me know, and I can send you a link to upload it.
This was not an issue with RC1, so thanks for the direction on that. One note that was wonky about the restore process is that the project file path seems to blank out after being populated. On restore it failed to start back up. But I used the gateway utility to reboot the gateway and it was fine.
If you’re referring to the filename of the backup to be used, this is an issue we are aware of. The component actually retains the file to be used, so the removal of the text from the UI is inconsequential other than making it appear there is no file. That the restore failed is highly curious, but I can assure you it is unrelated to the filename being removed from the DOM.
Ah, good to know thanks! Yea, it restored before also on 8.3.0-beta2 without issue (and the file path showed blank) so my fault if I implied it was related to the failed restore on 8.3.0-rc1.
