Hello Forum,
As we want to do better logging and especially better logging storage for ignitions' logs, I have some questions for you.
- Is it a bad idea to increase the system_logs.idb to 10*default for example? and is it saved in RAM or DISK?
- Does wrapper.logs are in DISK? so we can increase them without being afraid of RAM consumption?
- We chose Datadog as our central logging, are there anyway to couple easily with ignition?
Thank you, have a good day.
As long as you have the disc space, and understand how much space you are taking up, it's not bad. I have increased the size and amount of my log files on many occasions. And as far as I am aware, the logs will not effect your RAM.
Thank you for response, you are talking also about system.idb file?
I was reffering specifically to the wrapper logs, but the system logs (stored as an .idb file) won't be any different, however I am not certain how to change the desired size of the system logs...
Any other ideas please? especially about the system.idb log file
