Hi all — hoping a hiring post is okay here; I've seen a few in this category before.
I'm the Director of Engineering at Sentry Services. We build and recertify wellhead and BOP equipment, and we're adding a Controls Systems Engineer to our Automation team. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, and we'll consider remote.
The reason I'm posting here specifically: the piece I'm having the hardest time finding is someone who has actually stood up and troubleshot MQTT in a real industrial deployment — broker config, connection drops, the intermittent stuff that only shows up on live equipment — alongside solid Allen-Bradley / Studio 5000 and EtherNet/IP work. Ten resumes in, not one has touched MQTT. Figured the people who've built this are more likely to be here than on a general job board.
Also valued, though not required: OPC UA, Ignition or FactoryTalk, Python or C#, Wireshark, and industrial cybersecurity.
Looking for roughly 2+ years hands-on with the core stack. Real field and shop troubleshooting matters more to me than a long title.
Happy to answer questions in the thread. If you're interested or know someone, my email is Sumeet.arora@sentrywellhead.com and I'll send the full description.
