OK,

one of our Ignition trained employees has been developing an existing application using V7.3 on his laptop. Goes to jobsite and updates the project, but then realizes when the application does not work, the Gateway is V7.2.8.

There are two projects on the Gateway, one controls the plant’s Tank inventory and cannot be shutdown during production.

Easiest solution would be to upgrade the Gateway to V7.3, but then there is the license issue for the Vision Module. Gateway does not have internet access.

Is there a fallback to get the project from 7.3 back to 7.2.8?

No, there is no way to convert a project made in 7.3 to an earlier version. You will have to talk to you account rep to allow an upgrade to 7.3. It is best to stay current anyways.
