Loss of Session Custom Properties in Perspective – Ignition 8.1.41

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on a Perspective project using Ignition version 8.1.41, and I've run into an issue where session custom properties are being lost intermittently.

In my setup, I'm storing some important values under session.custom, but they occasionally disappear—especially after a refresh or navigating between views. These values are not being reset explicitly anywhere in the project, and I’ve double-checked that no scripts or bindings are modifying or clearing them unintentionally.

Has anyone else encountered this behavior in 8.1.41?
Is there something I might be missing regarding how session custom properties persist across views or sessions?

Any suggestions, best practices, or workarounds would be appreciated.

Custom Session Properties Gone

I had this issue when importing my project to a new PC. When I opened the designer sometimes Custom props would be gone, and sometimes the title menu would be gone. I had to re-open the designer multiple times without saving in order to get a 'good load' then saved, and the problem hasn't seemed to come back. I've had the same issue. This time even Session Props were wiped out from my project. One thing that helped me was that we have the project inherit settings from a template master, I opened the template master saved it and then all my properties came back without needing to restore back up.
