Ignition 8 on EPIC system. Trying to get LDAP/ssl to work i noticed that the Certificate is wrong. I deleted it to upload the correct one. I lost my connection to Ignition. Now I cannot open Ignition from the EPIC groovManage.
I need to know how to open ignition in this situation!
Thanks!
Probably best chatting to Opto22 about this, they have more info about how they set the system up.
If it were me, I would download the latest image from the Opto22 website, is it a PR1 or PR2?
Installing the image will reset it to factory settings, take a backup first.
If that isn’t an option you might have to get Shell access, SSH into the EPIC and modify some files to restore your config.
Got an inspiration overnight. (Ignition 8 is installed on a pr2 EPIC)
I used Manage/Security/Web Server Certificate to reload the server CA signed certificate in the EPIC. That also reloaded a self signed certificate for Ignition. Then I was able to open ignition from groov Manage (“This may take a while”) and upload the proper certificate for Ignition LDAP.
(initially in Ignition, I thought I had to delete the existing self signed certificate to to load the CA signed certificate. Not a good idea!)
