I have 3 Siemens S71200s at one facility, while the rest are Allen Bradley. We just updated our Ignition servers from 8.1.33 (I think it was 33) to 8.1.44, and after we did so, lost connection to all 3 Siemens PLCs and saw this is the log.
Is there something I missed about these updates that I need to change for the Siemens PLC configs? I double check them, and they seem to be all on default settings, and confirmed with our PLC techs that they made no changes, so it must have been the update, just wanted to see if anyone knows the solution before I roll back the changes.
Thanks for any help
I don't think rolling back will change anything, this is just the PLC closing the connection for some reason. You might get lucky with timing but nothing has changed with the driver.
Maybe you've hit some kind of connection limit, or have multiple gateways running, or some other software snuck in and took the available connection Ignition had before going down for the upgrade.
We did use an older software before swapping to Ignition. I'll check with my PLC techs and see if that booted up while Ignition was down
It ended up being a firewall rule that got updated, and when the Ignition servers restarted, the firewall caught the port 102. Had to update firewall rules to allow comms again.
