Make ignition gateway service not automatically start at windows login

Hi all,

Typically, when you install ignition on a computer, it sets up so that the gateway runs every time you start your computer. I’d like to set up an ignition instance where the gateway service only runs on command, because I expect this particular application to be seldom used (for the time being anyway).

Has anyone here done that before? Is it easy?

Thanks,
Zac Slade

Don’t you just open the Windows service manager, find the Ignition service in the list, and right-click for properties or something and set it so it doesn’t run on startup?

Sorry… this is all from memory, haven’t used Windows in years. I think you can Start > Run > services.msc to get the service manager?

Is that all there is to it?

That was pretty easy. Thanks!
