Maker Edition Designer: Perspective: Creating a new View causes non-descript browser error

Hi - I’m evaluating Ignition using the Maker edition 8.1 Perspective 2.1.42. When using the Designer and attempting to create a Perspective view, I always receive this error:

View editor cannot be initialized due to browser library error. See logs for more details.

Any thoughts or ideas? Is this my default web browser, not allowing pop-ups, or something like that?

Usually it's either AV/security software preventing the embedded Chromium browser from loading or trying to run on an unsupported platform/OS combination.

There might be more in the Designer logs or in the stack trace of the error message.

Also, FWIW, Maker Edition is not supposed to be used for evaluations - use the full version and reset the trial.
