Managed to break the Image Management tool

Hello! So earlier today I went to add an SVG into my project - dragged and dropped into the designer, which opened up the Image Management dialogue. Went to save and upload when the designer crashed. I then realized the SVG file was way too big, something had gone wrong when I saved it or exported or something. Now, anytime I go to open Image Management, the designer freezes and crashes.

TLDR; Is there a way to delete a file from Image Management without actually opening it in designer? I think I need to remove the file for it to work again.

Worst case scenario I have a gateway backup to restore from but was curious if there's another option.

Thanks!

You can go searching through the gateway filesystem to see if you can find it. Delete it there. In older versions, you'd have to go hunting in the internal database.

I just did a quick test and saving the SVG to the image management does still upload it to the internal database. @Zach_Amavisca You may want to reach out to support for assistance deleting the file from the idb. You could also try increasing the memory allocated to the designer in case that's the bottleneck.

Images are still in the IDB. Manual hunting needed.

Someday, Kindling may offer the ability to update IDB files...

Huh. Why did think those had moved out? :man_shrugging:

Thanks for the help; tried doubling the memory allocation and she certainly gave a valiant effort, but ended up still crashing. Just did a gateway restore and it all works now. Lesson learned...
