We are currently using a customer's WMS server through the Perspective Map component, however we can't find options for authenticating.
We can browse an URL which pops up a basic authentication which when given correct credentials saves a cookie and from there on we can use the map component in Perspective, however as soon as the cookie expires the map doesn't show the WMS layers anymore.
Below you can see the Map's http requests which are returned 401 (Unauthorized) because the browser has not authenticated yet.
Here the component map with the used URL and the supported parameters, we don't see anything regarding authentication.
