Memory Dataset Tags going to NULL

We use memory dataset tags as a reference that contains all paths to the tags in that folder (example: IO points).

We have observed recently that the tags, which are memory datasets with no scripts or anything else interacting with them sometimes have the following bad behavior:

  1. Tag name is in place, but all data in the dataset is gone
  2. Tagname is gone and all the data in the dataset is gone

To us this seems like a bug, is this a known issue and is there anything we can do to prevent it?
