The author claimed…in 2011… that the Java implementation of OPC-UA supported neither HTTP method of message transmission, nor XML/SOAP method of message encoding, which was ultimately one of the OPC-UA selection considerations to the downside.
Given that 4 years is a veritable eternity in technology time, can anyone pontificate 
on the availability of HTTP msg transmission and XML/SOAP encoding in 7.8?
