I have set up a modbus driver to talk to a Micro 820, but I am getting a massively delayed response. Is there a way I can diagnose the issue further? I don’t understand how it is struggling this much.

Are you using rusty ethernet cable with air gaps? 
Following this one as I’m curious
I went online with the 820, disabled my device in ignition, and then reenabled while watching the comms diagnostics in CCW. had 16 packets with errors and now it kind of works? I'm at a loss.
This is the standard for Queensland Australia.
