MicroLogix stuck in Connecting:Protocol:EIP state

I entered a name and IP address for the MicroLogix PLC but it is stuck in the Connecting:Protocol:EIP state and will not connect. I can ping the IP from the Ignition gateway server and a coworker can go online with the PLC. I also tried adding the 1,0 to the Connection Path as described in the manual but that only changes the status to Connecting: Protocol:Bridged_EIP. What else do I need to look into to get connected? I was just informed we are using a micrologix slc communication adapter to connect to the processor

I'm not sure those are supported. The Ignition driver expects to make a native ethernet connection to the PLC.
