I have a client tag of dataset type. When I bind the tag to a table, I can see all the data, 1 row of six columns. When I bind this to a bar chart, only 5 bars are displayed. The first column isn’t shown. What is happening here?
I found this in the manual:
The first column in the Data dataset defines the names of the categories. The rest of the columns define the values for each of the series (if there is more than one series per category), and thus should be numeric. Note - if your data is ‘turned on its side’, meaning that the columns define the categories and rows define the series, then set the Extract Order to “By Column”.
I guess I need to add another column to the dataset to define the label? Is there anyway to get around this?
I am have a similar issue. I have the "turned on its side" scenario. When I set the chart to "Extract Order > Column, the bars populate properly but the first column still does not show up and the legend contains the value from the missing column.
Were you ever able to find a way around this other than adding an additional column of data just to get it to display correctly?
