We ran into an issue this week where a couple Ignition clients were not functioning properly. They were receiving an error message indicating that the client could not find the global script named “utility”. But we verified that the module was in the global script library.
We usually have 10-20 clients running during the day but this problem was only occurring on 2 of them.
We made a small change to our “utility” script (to force Ignition to publish global), and then published global + project… This fixed the issue.
So it seems like the two problematic clients weren’t downloading the global script when they started up. I just wanted to post our experience and see if anyone else has had this problem.
