Does anyone know if you can have an Ignition (or Edge) 8.0 remote gateway connect and work well with Ignition 7.9 central gateway? Will tags and alarms transfer automagically? I don’t know if the differences between Tag Groups and Scan Classes are transparent when dealing with transmitting and historizing tag values.
More than Tag Groups, I would be worried of Security in Tags, some versions of 8.0 includes security zones permissions, a concept that doesn’t even exists in 7.9
