Modbus connected but to tag values

I have a device setup as modbus and is connected but when I tried and add the tags, there aren’t any values, it’s all just null.

Do you have any documentation for the device?

What’s happening is that it’s not responding to the read requests. The one you posted is a read coil request.

The most common causes for this are that you’ve either got the wrong address, or that the device expects you to use a unit id other than the default of 0.

I tried using the unit id of 1 but i still didn’t get any tag values.

There’s not much else you can do on the Ignition side. Consult your device documentation and hopefully you’ll see something you missed.

One thing that helps is to only set up one tag for one address that you know should return data. Once you get that working you can worry about getting all the other data you need.
