Does the modbus RTU Serial Support Gateway Module and Serial Support Client Module work in Ignition 7.6? I’ve tried installing the different available versions of these two modules, but in my devices area the status never changes from “Connecting” I’m using Ignition 7.6.7.

I have confirmed that I can communicate to the PLC (an M340) via serial using a standalone Modbus Polling program. Transmission speed is 9600 bits, no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit. 4ms delay between frames, I’m not using any sort of RTS/CTS. Slave address is 1, set to communicate using RS232.

This might be a dumb question but are you installing a X.6.X version of the modules?

I believe that the middle number of all the modules you install need to match.

Also worth knowing what OS/version you’re trying this on.

The OS is Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

The current module I have installed for Serial Support Client and Serial Support Gateway are both 1.6.4, but I have also tried it with 1.6.7
