In the Module Configuration page, I see that we have a (nullexpired certificate). Does anyone know the ramifications of that, and how we resolve it?
Upgrade to a current version of Ignition. There’s no way to change the expiration of the certificates of old software. It isn’t a breakage situation, though.
It is not old software though - this is Ignition 8.1.9, installed on a brand VM created in March.
We updated our code signing cert in 8.1.11 (the new one expires 2024).
This doesn’t have any meaningful impact on security and is not enforced by the platform in any way.
Thanks Paul. I wasn’t sure if this would affect the internal OPC module or anything.
